A bride-to-be contacted me about making a special surprise Groom's Cake for her upcoming wedding. Her husband-to-be is a lineman for the local electric company. She wanted something fun, with his job as the theme.
Hi! I love your lineman cake!!! A friend of mine saw it, and wants me to use this as an inspiration for a cake for the guys she works with at an Electrical Membership for "National Lineman's Day"..........would you mind telling me what you made the poles out of, and are the 'lines' licorice? I understand if you don't want to give away secrets! Could you email me at susanmjan7@gmail.com ? Thanks! Susan
Hi Susan. I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. The lines are licorice. The poles are actually made of wood so that the groom could keep them if he wanted. I wrapped the bottom of the poles in plastic so that they wouldn't come into contact with the cake.
